As a martial artist & fitness instructor I am always looking for ways to improve my overall health and performance as well as that of my students.  When I talk about health and fitness I often break it down into three categories; cardiovascular, muscle development & nutrition.  To get the most impact out of your workout and achieve optimal health it is important to do all three.  If you are working out but not ensuring your body is getting the nutrition it needs, you are not getting the most out of your workout.
