If you missed our St Jude Kata tournament Saturday December 15th you missed an excellent show! Our students displayed great courage, our theme of the month this December, in performing their Kata in front of their friends, family and teachers at the Tournament! These students also did an excellent job of raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

We also had kata performance by Sensei Keyes who performed the bo kata Shushi No Kun with his usual balance of power, focus, and finesse. Black belt instructor David Kalish performed Taikyoko Shodan and showed the difference a powerful Kiai and clean technique can make on any kata! Lastly our special guest World Champion Karate Athlete Katie Murphy performed her freestyle kata at our tournament.

It was a fantastic display of how hard work and dedication to the martial arts can make everyone a star performer! Thank you to all those who participated and donated!
